Devale Ellis Teaches His Sons Cleaning Isn’t Just for Women

Devale Ellis teaches his sons about sharing household responsibilities and helping with cleaning at home.

Devale Ellis is making sure his sons learn an important lesson early: keeping the house clean is everybody’s responsibility. 👏🏾

The actor and content creator recently shared a glimpse of his family life, showing his boys pitching in with household chores. The message behind the moment is bigger than simply getting the house cleaned — Devale is teaching his sons that taking care of a home is a shared responsibility.

In the post, Devale wrote:

“We share responsibilities in this house. Chores don’t have to be a drag, especially when they see Dad pitching in to keep everything running smoothly.”

And we absolutely LOVE to see it! 👏🏾

Devale isn’t just telling his boys what they should do — he’s showing them through his own actions.

That example matters.

Too often, household cleaning and other domestic responsibilities are treated as something women are automatically expected to handle. Devale is showing his sons that being a man and being a father also means knowing how to contribute at home.

Whether it’s cleaning, cooking, organizing or simply making sure the household continues to run smoothly, everybody can play a part.

And his boys are getting to see that firsthand from their dad.

Dad Is Setting the Example

One of the best parts about Devale’s message is that he emphasizes his children seeing him participate.

Kids learn a lot by watching the adults around them. By pitching in instead of simply expecting someone else to handle the chores, Devale is giving his sons an example of partnership, responsibility and independence.

The moment also gives fans another look at the Ellis family’s approach to raising their boys.

And apparently, chores don’t have to be boring either!

Devale’s post showed that cleaning can simply be part of everyday family life — something everyone contributes to rather than something assigned to women.

Fans Also Notice Kaz’s Confidence

Devale also gave a sweet shout-out to his son Kaz, joking about how comfortable he appeared in front of the camera.

“Look at Kaz feeling confident in front of the camera,” Devale wrote.

Between teaching his sons responsibility and celebrating their personalities, Devale continues to give followers a glimpse into the values he’s passing down at home.

The message is simple: If you live in the house, you can help take care of the house. 👏🏾

And honestly, more dads teaching their sons this lesson is something we LOVE to see!
