Eva Marcille is celebrating a new opportunity to give back and support the next generation of college students.

The actress, model and television personality recently shared photos from Elizabeth City State University (ECSU), where she helped welcome members of the incoming freshman and transfer classes for the 2026 academic year.

Marcille described the experience as an honor and revealed that she will serve as a mentor and ambassador for the university.

“Such an honor to pin the incoming freshman class and transfer students at ECSU for the 2026 academic year,” Marcille wrote. “Thank you Chancellor and Dr. Kevin Wade for the opportunity to mentor as an ambassador and I look forward to us, reaching the finish line together.”

In the photos, Marcille can be seen attending the special ceremony alongside a graduate dressed in academic regalia as she celebrated the students beginning their college journeys.

Her new role gives Marcille an opportunity to use her platform to encourage and mentor students as they navigate their academic experiences at the historically Black college and university.

The post quickly drew attention from fans and followers, who celebrated Marcille for taking on a role focused on education, mentorship and supporting HBCU students.

As the 2026 academic year approaches, Marcille appears ready to embrace her new position and help ECSU’s newest students work toward reaching the finish line.
