Reilly Smedley is revealing what happened after her elimination on The Challenge 42.

The Big Brother alum recently shared that Cara Maria Sorbello reached out to her months after the season wrapped to apologize for her role in the chaotic elimination that ultimately sent Reilly home.

According to Reilly, Cara told her that she loved her and was sorry if she had “misdirected” her during the elimination. Cara reportedly emphasized that it was never intentional. 

Cara Maria Reached Out After The Season

Reilly explained that she and Cara are actually on good terms despite what happened during the competition.

“She was like, ‘Listen, I love you. I am so sorry if I misdirected you. It was never intentional,’” Reilly recalled of Cara’s message. 

Rather than holding a grudge, Reilly had plenty of praise for Cara.

She reportedly said that she and Cara are “amazing” and described her as “the best.” 

Reilly Doesn’t Blame Cara For Her Elimination

While Cara’s directions may have contributed to some confusion during the elimination, Reilly doesn’t believe Cara intentionally tried to sabotage her.

Reilly explained that she was listening to the people around her and following their instructions during the intense moment. Looking back, she believes she might have advanced further if she had trusted her own instincts.

She also acknowledged that Cara was genuinely trying to help her.

According to Reilly, Cara’s actions may have been a misstep, but she doesn’t consider Cara solely responsible for her elimination. 

No Bad Blood Between Reilly And Cara

Despite the drama surrounding the elimination, it appears there is no lasting bad blood between the two competitors.

Reilly’s comments give fans a different perspective on what happened during The Challenge 42, showing that the situation didn’t necessarily carry over into their relationship after filming.

For Cara, reaching out after the season gave her an opportunity to explain her intentions and apologize if her directions caused confusion.

For Reilly, the apology seems to have been enough to move forward.
