For Hayslett, the project represents a major career milestone. The actress, who became widely known for portraying Fatima on Tyler Perry’s hit series Sistas, will take on her first leading role in a feature film.

While additional plot details are being kept under wraps, the premise suggests that the film will examine relationships, emotions and the psychological forces that shape the way people view love.

The project will also mark the first film released through Tyler Perry Studios’ Maxscene division, giving it added significance as the new label launches its film slate.
