Reality TV stars Cory Wharton and Taylor Selfridge are officially going their separate ways after nearly a decade together.
Cory, known for his appearances on The Challenge and Teen Mom, confirmed the breakup Thursday, October 8, in an emotional Instagram post. He described the separation as the beginning of a “new chapter” and said his focus is now on himself and his daughters.
The couple, who first connected after meeting while filming Ex on the Beach, share two daughters, Mila and Maya. Cory also has an older daughter, Ryder, from his previous relationship with Cheyenne Floyd.
In his statement, Cory acknowledged that he made mistakes during their relationship and apologized to Taylor for the ways he let her down. He emphasized that becoming a better father remains his priority.

Taylor also addressed the split, making it clear that the decision to leave came from her. She said she had grown tired of not receiving basic respect from Cory after nine years together and said she believes she deserves more.
The breakup comes shortly after drama surrounding Cory’s appearance on The Challenge: Cutthroat, where viewers watched his flirtatious interactions with castmate Izzy Fairthorne. Cory previously apologized for his behavior and said he planned to work on himself and seek therapy.
For now, Cory says his focus is on his three daughters, personal growth and navigating what comes next.
After nearly 10 years, Cory and Taylor’s relationship has officially come to an end — and both appear ready to enter a new chapter.
