Fans of The Challenge 42: Cutthroat may have to say goodbye to the season without getting one final reunion episode.
According to comments discussed on the Death, Taxes, and Bananas podcast, Justin Hinsley appeared on the show and the topic of a Season 42 reunion came up. Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio reportedly said he doesn’t think there will be a reunion this season, noting that a reunion would typically have already been filmed by this point in the airing schedule.
The possibility is surprising, especially considering the amount of drama that has unfolded throughout the season.
Why Is There No Reunion?
There has been no official confirmation from MTV or production explaining why a reunion may not be happening, so fans are currently left to speculate.
The season has generated plenty of controversy and heated moments, including the fallout surrounding the Nelson, Josh and Leo incident, which has received significant attention online.
With so much drama surrounding the cast, both Justin and Bananas reportedly agreed that a reunion would have been explosive.
A reunion could have given cast members an opportunity to address some of the season’s biggest moments, confront unresolved issues and respond to the conversations that have taken place online.
For now, however, fans may have to settle for the season itself without the traditional sit-down reunion.
