Tori Deal isn’t necessarily claiming that she is the greatest female competitor in Challenge history — but she absolutely believes she has earned a place in the conversation.
During a recent appearance on Challenge Mania, the longtime Challenge competitor was asked about her legacy and where she stands among the women who have competed on the show. Deal made it clear that she isn’t concerned with proving she is number one.
“I’m not saying I’m the GOAT. I don’t need to be the GOAT. I’m in the conversation,” Deal explained.
And according to Tori, that isn’t simply an opinion she has about herself — she believes the discussion surrounding her legacy proves it.
“I’m not even trying to be [the GOAT]. It’s just the truth,” she said.
Deal went on to explain that she doesn’t believe anyone can permanently hold the title of “the best.” Even competitors who are widely considered GOATs can eventually be beaten.
“I don’t need to be the best. I actually don’t care,” she said, adding that everyone can be beaten, regardless of how legendary their reputation is.
Her argument is essentially that her body of work has earned her a seat at the table — whether fans ultimately rank her at No. 1, No. 3 or somewhere else.
And considering Tori’s longevity, competitive resume and status among the franchise’s veteran women, there’s certainly plenty for fans to debate.
