Brittany Cartwright has been granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, amid their ongoing divorce and a series of serious allegations.
According to court documents reported by TMZ, a judge granted Brittany’s request on August 27, ordering Jax to stay 100 yards away from her. Brittany had also requested sole custody of their 5-year-old son, Cruz, but that request was denied for now pending further proceedings.
The legal filing contains allegations from Brittany describing what she says was a years-long pattern of emotional, psychological, financial and physical abuse. She alleged that Jax threatened to “gut” her, physically assaulted her and damaged property during an August 2026 incident.
Photos Highlight Alleged Aftermath
Photos included with Brittany’s court filing have drawn particular attention.
The images show what appears to be bruising on Brittany’s knee and leg, along with damage inside the couple’s home. One photo shows a coffee table overturned, while another shows what appears to be a damaged iPad. Brittany alleges the damage occurred during a July 2024 confrontation after Jax became angry over private messages on her device.
The photos do not independently establish who caused the injuries or property damage, but Brittany submitted them as part of her evidence supporting her allegations.
Jax has strongly disputed Brittany’s abuse allegations. Following the judge’s decision, he said he takes responsibility for mistakes he made during the darkest period of his addiction but maintains that he is not the same person he was in 2024. He said the allegations will be addressed through the legal process.
The legal battle has since escalated. Jax filed for his own restraining order against Brittany, making allegations of his own and asking the court to keep her away from him.
For now, both sides are preparing to continue their legal fight as their divorce and custody issues play out in court.
