From The Traitors’ final two to reality TV hosts! Maura Higgins and Rob Rausch are teaming up once again, but this time they’ll be on the other side of the competition.
The Love Island stars have been tapped to co-host Peacock’s upcoming reality competition series “Get Me Out of Here,” a U.S. adaptation of the popular international format I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! The series is currently slated to premiere in 2027.
The casting makes the reunion even more entertaining considering how their journey ended on The Traitors Season 4.
From Love Island to The Traitors
Both Higgins and Rausch first became reality TV favorites through the Love Island franchise. Higgins rose to fame on the U.K. version before later hosting Love Island USA: Aftersun and Love Island Games: Aftersun. Rausch appeared on Love Island USA and became one of the show’s breakout personalities.
Their paths crossed again on The Traitors, where they formed a close friendship throughout the season.
The two ultimately became the final two players.
But there was one major problem: Rob was secretly a Traitor.
Maura believed Rob was a Faithful and trusted him all the way to the end. Rob ultimately revealed his true allegiance and walked away with the $220,800 prize, leaving Maura as the runner-up.
Rob later attempted to make amends by purchasing Maura a Birkin bag with some of his winnings, turning their dramatic Traitors storyline into one of the season’s most memorable reality-TV friendships.
Now They’re Running the Show
For their next reality-TV chapter, Higgins and Rausch won’t be competing against each other—they’ll be co-hosting.
Get Me Out of Here will send celebrities into a harsh jungle environment alongside a non-famous friend or family member. The teams will face physical and psychological challenges while being stripped of the luxuries normally associated with celebrity life.
The winning duo will take home a $100,000 grand prize.
The series comes from ITV America, the same production company behind Love Island USA, and is based on the international I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! format.
With their history on Love Island and unforgettable run on The Traitors, Maura and Rob already know how to bring drama, humor and competition to reality television.
Now fans will get to see what happens when the former finalists become the hosts.
