The Challenge: Cutthroat has brought together 24 competitors for a new season filled with veterans, rookies and reality TV stars from other franchises. With $500,000 on the line and the competitors divided into three teams, there are plenty of players who could emerge as major threats. (Paramount Press Express)
Here are seven players who could become some of the biggest threats on The Challenge 42.
Johnny Bananas
Johnny Bananas is one of the most experienced players in The Challenge history.
He has seven championships and knows how to navigate alliances, rivalries and eliminations. Even after years in the game, Bananas remains someone competitors have to take seriously.
His experience could be especially valuable in a season where players have to balance individual goals with their team’s success.
Anna Leigh Wilson
Anna Leigh Wilson is making her Challenge debut after competing on The Amazing Race 35.
She’s already known for being extremely competitive, and she now has the opportunity to prove that her skills can translate to The Challenge.
As a newcomer, Anna Leigh could also benefit from being less familiar to some of the veteran players.
Alexis “Lete” Lete
Alexis “Lete” Lete is another rookie with plenty of competitive experience.

The former WWE NXT performer and Miss Indiana USA competed on Deal or No Deal Island, where she finished as a runner-up. Now she’s looking to take the next step and become a Challenge champion. (Deadline)
Her athletic background could make her a serious threat as the season progresses.
Keanu Soto

Keanu Soto brings experience from Big Brother to The Challenge.
His background in a strategic reality competition could help him navigate the social side of the game. Keanu also has the athletic ability to compete, giving him multiple ways to make an impact.
If he can build strong relationships while proving himself in the competition, he could become difficult to eliminate.
Adrienne Naylor
Adrienne Naylor already knows what it takes to compete on The Challenge.

During Vets & New Threats, she survived four eliminations and reached the final before finishing fourth. That experience gives her an advantage over players who are still learning how the game works. (TVLine)
Adrienne has already shown that she can handle pressure. If she can avoid becoming a consistent target, she has a real opportunity to make another deep run.
Chris Underwood
Chris Underwood is one of the most accomplished reality competition players in the cast.

He won Survivor: Edge of Extinction and also won The Challenge: USA 2. He’s now back looking to add another championship to his résumé. (TVLine)
Chris has the physical ability, strategic experience and competitive mindset to become a major threat.
Tori Deal
Tori Deal is another player who knows what it takes to win.

The Ride or Dies champion has already made multiple deep runs and has established herself as one of the franchise’s strongest competitors. She’s also returning after finishing fourth on Battle of the Eras. (TVLine)
Tori’s experience could be one of her biggest advantages. She understands the social game, knows how to handle pressure and has already proven that she can win a final.
Who Could Become the Biggest Threat?
Johnny Bananas and Tori Deal have the veteran experience, while Adrienne Naylor and Chris Underwood already have Challenge success of their own.
Meanwhile, Anna Leigh Wilson, Alexis “Lete” Lete and Keanu Soto have the opportunity to establish themselves as new forces in the game.

With the season’s three-team format putting an emphasis on teamwork, strategy and loyalty, the biggest threats may be the players who can succeed in all three areas. (Paramount Press Express)
As The Challenge 42 continues, these seven competitors are definitely ones to keep an eye on.
