CBS’s “SWAT” Season 6 finale just aired and now fans who love the show will be able to stream the season because episodes will soon join Netflix!
Netflix has made a deal with lead studio Sony Pictures TV for the first five seasons of the action drama starring Shemar Moore, which will begin streaming in the U.S. on May 17. The current sixth season of the series is expected to join them on the platform in the fall.
The show was just renewed for a Season 7 after a shocking cancellation! The 7th season is said to be the final season but now that Netflix will stream the show hopefully the streamer will pick up the show for an 8th season.
Due to CBS’ deal for S.W.A.T., current seasons of the network’s series are available on Paramount+ for their duration and a few months after they end their broadcast run.

SWAT stars Shemar Moore, Alex Russell, Jay Harrington, Kenny Johnson, David Lim, and Patrick St. Esprit. The crime thriller centers on Sergeant Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson (Moore), a Los Angeles native and former Marine who’s been tapped to lead a new “last stop” Special Weapons And Tactics unit (S.W.A.T.). The rest of the team includes seasoned David “Deacon” Kay (Harrington), cocky Jim Street (Russell), expert driver Dominique Luca (Johnson), and informant-connected Victor Tan (Lim). Responsible for the management of all Metro Division S.W.A.T. units is Commander Robert Hicks (St. Esprit), a senior LAPD official with the Special Operations Bureau.
S.W.A.T. was developed by Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and Shawn Ryan.
