“Fire Country” Star Teases Season 2 Romance

Fire country season 2

CBS’s “Fire Country” just aired it finale episode and the show absolutely dominated in ratings during it’s freshman season!!

Back in January, the network renewed “Fire Country” for a 2nd season.

The series is averaging over 10 million viewers per episode in Live+35 day multiplatform viewing. The show will continue to air on Fridays while also airing a special episode on Jan. 29 immediately following the AFC Championship game before returning to its regular schedule. It is also available to stream on Paramount+. Per CBS.

With that much success, we can expect huge storylines in the second season.

Kanoa Goo who portrays the role of Kyle on the show is already teasing possible Season 2 content.

He teased a possible romance between his character and Gabriela.

He says he believes his on-screen colleague could be “pretty open-minded” when it comes to a romance in the 2nd season.

He shared with TVLINE:

“Gabriela did seem to make her choice in last week’s episode, by bedding Bode. And despite Gabriela’s choice to give Bode (Max Thieriot) another chance, Goo believes Bode’s past actions could come back to haunt him. But then again… Bode’s dirty drug test bombshell is bound to complicate things anew.

I’d say it’s left pretty open-ended. I think Kyle has fallen even more for [Gabriela] after witnessing her on the job And so if it were up to him, he’s probably down to stick around Edgewater for a bit.”

We’re hoping this ship happens!

FIRE COUNTRY stars Max Thieriot (SEAL TEAM) as Bode Donovan, a young convict seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence by joining a prison release firefighting program in Northern California, where he and other inmates are partnered with elite firefighters to extinguish massive, unpredictable wildfires across the region. It’s a high-risk, high-reward assignment, and the heat is turned up when Bode is assigned to the program in his rural hometown, where he was once a golden all-American son until his troubles began. Five years ago, Bode burned down everything in his life, leaving town with a big secret. Now he’s back, with the rap sheet of a criminal and the audacity to believe in a chance for redemption with Cal Fire. Inspired by series star Max Thieriot’s experiences growing up in Northern California fire country.
