The two are very close friends and you could go as far and say he’s like a father/big brother to her in the entertainment industry.
In 2013, Crystal started working at Tyler Perry Studios in the Costume Department. In 2015, she became the studio’s Costume Designer and personal stylist to Tyler Perry, which lead to consultant producing and guest starring in Perry’s hit show “Sistas”.
She was upped to series regular during season two and her character was so popular that she and Devale Ellis earned a spin-off series together titled “Zatima” on BET+.
