Wes Bergmann Slams Chris Underwood After The Challenge Run Ends

Wes Bergmann criticizes Chris Underwood after The Challenge run

Wes Bergmann is not holding back when it comes to his thoughts on Chris Underwood’s time on The Challenge.

Following the conclusion of Chris’ three-season run on the reality competition series, Wes took to social media with some harsh criticism, arguing that Chris failed to make the kind of impact he believes is necessary to become a memorable television personality.

Wes wrote that the “Chris Underwood experiment” is finally over after three full seasons, claiming there wasn’t a single memorable moment from Chris during his run.

He also argued that being successful in the physical challenges is only a small part of what makes someone a great Challenger or reality TV star.

“Abilities in the sand is only five percent of what makes a Challenger and zero percent of what makes a television star.”

Wes went on to say that competitors who excel physically need to be even more entertaining because they have to carry more of the show — something he believes Chris failed to do.

The veteran Challenge player also addressed Chris’ involvement in narration, comparing watching him narrate the game to “watching paint dry” and claiming there was no storyline behind it.

But Wes’ criticism didn’t stop with Chris.

He also took aim at Kaycee Clark, saying he believes she has caused damage to the show and admitting that he regrets not speaking up about it sooner.

“I made the mistake of not speaking up sooner about the damage the Kaycee Clark’s do to our show and I’m not gonna let that happen again,” Wes wrote.

He ended his post by taking an even stronger shot at Chris, writing that the next casting director who puts him on television “should get fired.”

Wes’ comments have already sparked conversation among The Challenge fans, with viewers debating whether reality competition stars should be judged primarily by their performance in the game or by the entertainment and storylines they bring to the show.
