
Tyler Perry has another new series on the way.
The media mogul’s upcoming limited series Route 187 is set to premiere on Paramount+ on September 16, 2026, adding another highly anticipated project to Perry’s growing television slate. (Paramount+)
Set along South Winslow’s infamous city bus route 87—nicknamed “Route 187” after the police code for homicide—the crime drama follows residents attempting to navigate life in a community affected by violence, poverty and hopelessness.
According to the series’ official description, a routine bus ride takes a tragic turn, shaking the entire community. The events push Mason James, a determined print journalist, to search for answers and uncover the truth behind the chaos. As his investigation takes him deeper into the city, he discovers disturbing secrets that have gone unnoticed for years. (Paramount+)
The series stars Christopher Livingston, Taiv Lee, Elijah Collins, Lawrence Robinson, Tonia Jackson and Cuyle Carvin, among others. Tyler Perry serves as an executive producer alongside Mark E. Swinton, with BET Studios behind the project. (Give Me My Remote)
