What Is Lanterns About?
Inspired by DC Comics’ Green Lantern mythology, Lanterns follows veteran Green Lantern Hal Jordan and rookie John Stewart as they investigate a brutal murder in the American heartland. What begins as a seemingly ordinary investigation soon uncovers a much larger mystery tied to the future of the DC Universe.
James Gunn has described the series as having the tone of a True Detective-style mystery, blending grounded crime drama with cosmic superhero action. Along with Chandler and Pierre, the cast includes Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro and Nathan Fillion reprising his role as Guy Gardner.
