Tariq St. Patrick Returns in Power: Legacy as Michael Rainey Jr. Reprises His Role

Michael Rainey Jr. as Tariq St. Patrick returns alongside Joseph Sikora’s Tommy Egan in the upcoming Power: Legacy series.

The wait is officially over for Power fans.

Starz has confirmed that Michael Rainey Jr. will reprise his role as Tariq St. Patrick in the upcoming series Power: Legacy, marking the next chapter in the ever-expanding Power Universe. Even bigger, Tariq won’t be returning alone. The new series reunites him with Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) as the two fan-favorite characters join forces in New York following the events of Power Book IV: Force.

After the explosive ending of Power Book II: Ghost, many viewers wondered whether Tariq’s story had finally reached its conclusion. Instead, Starz is giving the character an entirely new series that picks up where both Ghost and Force left off, setting the stage for a dangerous new battle for power in New York City.

Power: Legacy has been ordered for eight episodes and will be led by franchise veterans Michael Rainey Jr. and Joseph Sikora. Executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson described the project as one of the biggest chapters in the franchise, while longtime Power showrunner Gary Lennon will oversee the series.

With Tariq and Tommy finally sharing the spotlight, fans can expect new alliances, familiar enemies, and another high-stakes fight for control of the city’s criminal underworld.

Whether they’ll remain partners or eventually become rivals remains one of the biggest questions heading into Power: Legacy.
