
Melissa O’Neil is headed to the world of animated comedy.
The The Rookie actress has officially joined the voice cast of Stewie!, the upcoming Family Guy spinoff centered around the iconic and mischievous Stewie Griffin. The new series continues to expand Seth MacFarlane’s animated universe and has already generated significant buzz among longtime Family Guy fans.
O’Neil will voice Wanda, a brilliant young character described as Stewie Griffin’s intellectual soulmate and object of affection. The role marks another major television project for the actress, who is best known for portraying Officer Lucy Chen on ABC’s hit police drama The Rookie.

She joins an impressive ensemble that includes Kenan Thompson, Vanessa Bayer, Jessica Lowe, Aaron Lee, and longtime Family Guy voice actor Mike Henry, with Seth MacFarlane once again voicing Stewie Griffin.

According to early details, Stewie! follows the fan-favorite toddler as he navigates preschool while continuing his signature adventures through time, science, and space. Fox previously handed the animated comedy a two-season order, highlighting the network’s confidence in the newest expansion of the Family Guy franchise.
