Da’Vinchi is heading back into the world of firefighting—this time on network television.
The BMF star has officially joined the series regular cast of NBC’s Chicago Fire for its upcoming 15th season. The actor, best known for portraying Terry “Southwest T” Flenory in the hit Starz crime drama, will take on the role of Marcus Burke, a firefighter candidate at Firehouse 51.

According to the character description, Marcus Burke is roguish, funny, and carries a wry sense of humor, while also being a bit defiant. His arrival is expected to shake things up as he begins his journey with Firehouse 51 alongside the veteran crew.
Da’Vinchi joins returning cast members Taylor Kinney, David Eigenberg, Miranda Rae Mayo, Christian Stolte, Joe Miñoso, Hanako Greensmith, Jocelyn Hudon, and Brandon Larracuente. Chicago Fire Season 15 premieres October 7 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
Interestingly, this marks Da’Vinchi’s second firefighter role. Fans of Tyler Perry may remember that he is also set to appear in Perry’s upcoming Netflix drama Where There’s Fire, where he portrays a firefighter in the highly anticipated series.

The back-to-back casting has fans joking that Da’Vinchi has officially found his lane, as he transitions from playing one-half of the infamous Flenory brothers in BMF to suiting up in two firefighter-centered projects.
With Chicago Fire adding fresh faces and Where There’s Fire still on the horizon, Da’Vinchi is quickly expanding his résumé with two major television roles that showcase a very different side of his acting abilities.
