Why IMDb Ratings Don’t Tell the Whole Story
IMDb scores reflect ratings submitted by users, not overall popularity or viewership. Some of Tyler Perry’s biggest commercial successes—including House of Payne, The Oval, and Sistas—continue to dominate ratings, streaming charts, and social media despite having lower IMDb scores.
Meanwhile, newer shows like Zatima and Divorced Sistas have earned stronger audience ratings, showing that Perry’s television empire continues to evolve.
