Canceled The Bachelorette Season Could Still Air as ABC Reportedly Reconsiders Taylor Frankie Paul

Just three months after ABC pulled the plug on Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette, a surprising new report suggests the network may be having second thoughts.

According to TMZ, internal discussions are reportedly taking place about whether the shelved season should finally see the light of day. If the report is accurate, fans could eventually get to watch a season many assumed would never air.

Taylor Frankie Paul’s Season May Already Be Finished

One of the biggest revelations is that editors reportedly never stopped working on the season after ABC announced its cancellation.

Instead of abandoning production, sources claim the footage continued to be edited behind the scenes, meaning the entire season may already be complete and sitting in ABC’s library.

That has reportedly made it much easier for the network to reverse course if executives decide the timing is right.

Why ABC Could Change Its Mind

ABC originally scrapped Season 22 in late March after a leaked 2023 video allegedly showed Paul throwing barstools at her then-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, while her daughter was present.

Since then, however, several developments have reportedly changed the situation.

Prosecutors declined to file domestic violence charges in April, and earlier this month a Utah judge reportedly removed the supervision requirement from Paul’s visitation arrangement with her son.

According to the report, ABC has also conducted audience testing to determine whether public opinion has shifted enough to support releasing the season.

A Perfect Opening in ABC’s Schedule

The timing may also work in Paul’s favor.

With Bachelor in Paradise reportedly not returning until 2027, ABC’s traditional late-summer Bachelor Nation programming slot is now open.

That has fueled speculation that Taylor Frankie Paul’s previously canceled season could ultimately fill that vacancy if the network decides to move forward.

Taylor Frankie Paul Has Been Focused on Moving Forward

The report also claims Paul has worked to rebuild relationships with her The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives castmates while continuing to be open about her personal growth.

She has publicly documented her recovery journey on Instagram and checked into rehab as part of her efforts to better herself. According to the report, both production and members of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast have been supportive of her progress.

Another notable detail is that Dakota Mortensen reportedly appears only briefly in the finished season’s opening moments before no longer being part of the story.

ABC Hasn’t Made Anything Official

Despite the growing speculation, ABC has not confirmed that Taylor Frankie Paul’s season will air or announced a premiere date.

For now, the future of the canceled season remains uncertain. But if the latest report proves accurate, one of the most controversial seasons in The Bachelorette history may finally get its chance to air after all.
