ABC’s “The Golden Bachelorette” has officially come to an end and Joan picked her man!
Joan is now engaged to Chock!
Chock, a widower who lost his fiancée Cathy to cancer in 2022, sails through meeting with Joan’s four grown kids: Nicholas, Erica, Allison, and Luke.
Chock assures Joan’s son, Nick, that it’s not his intention to replace their father, John, who died from pancreatic cancer in 2021. “I’m just here to make your mom happy,” Chock said.
In The Golden Bachelorette finale, Joan became engaged to Chock Chapple, an insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas. After going down the aisle to Joan, Chock told her he couldn’t wait to honor her late husband, John, by loving her every day. He expressed his love for her multiple times, telling her how much he wanted her to be part of his life. Joan shared that she had envisioned a future with Chock from their first date at Disneyland and eventually fell in love with him.
Following the touching proposal, the couple FaceTimed Joan’s mom from the beach, who was thrilled to meet her daughter’s new partner. “I never in a million years thought I’d feel love like this again. Ever,” Joan said.
