“Sistas” & “Zatima” Star Devale Will Likely Appear In Christmas Film This Winter

Sistas Devale Ellis meet me next Christmas

BET’s “Sistas” & “Zatima” Star Devale Ellis is getting ready to debut a brand new movie soon and it’s likely premiering this Christmas season!

Devale will star in Netflix’s newest Christmas film “Meet Me Next Christmas” alongside the beautiful and talented Christina Milian.

The upcoming rom-com will stream on Netflix. (No date announced yet.)

It follows the story of her character, Layla, who is looking for romance with the man of her dreams and must race through New York City to get tickets to the sold out Pentatonix Christmas Eve concert.

Milian produces as well as acts in the movie.

The film stars Devale Ellis (“Sistas,” “Zatima,” “The Perfect Find”), Kofi Siriboe (“Queen Sugar,” “Insecure”) and Kalen Allen (“An American Pickle,” “With Love”), alongside the Grammy-winning a capella group Pentatonix (Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee).

Directed by Rusty Cundieff (“Chappelle’s Show,” “White Water”), “Meet Me Next Christmas” is written by Molly Haldeman and Camilla Rubis (“The Neighborhood,””Malibu Rescue”). Mark Roberts (“The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia,” “Water and Power”) is producing the project, while Simon Lythgoe and Matt Code executive produce alongside Milian.

This marks Devale’s second Christmas film in a row.

“Sistas” follows a group of single Black females navigating their “complicated love life,” careers, and friendship through the ups and downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals. Tyler Perry takes viewers on an exhilarating ride of emotions and gut-busting predicaments that will test the ladies’ long-standing friendship. This band of women, intertwined with their newfound relationships, must navigate this new-age dating scene as they continue to search for love in their 30s. “Tyler Perry’s Sistas” airs Wednesdays at 9 PM ET/PT on BET and BET Her.
