
BET’s “The Ms Pat Show” Season 3 debuted earlier this year and it was hands down one of the funniest seasons ever!!
The Emmy-nominated comedy series “The Ms. Pat Show” returned February 23rd, 2023 with 9 episodes!
After watching the 9th episodes, fans wondered why the 10th episode didn’t play and now we finally have an answer!
BET’s streaming platform BET+ just unveiled 12 new projects marking the holiday season this year. The releases will be a mix of films spanning musical dramas and romantic comedies, and TV specials, including a standalone holiday episode of the streamer’s popular sitcom The Ms. Pat Showdirected by Debbie Allen.
The episode will debut on November 23rd.
Title: “Father Christmas”
Plot:
“Pat tries to give Terry the perfect Christmas by finding his real father; when she can’t track him down, she and Denise embark on a wild Plan B involving a mall Santa.”

“The Ms. Pat Show” is based on Williams’ personal life, drawing from the comedienne’s past as a teenage mom and ex-felon. Williams concurrently serves as a writer and producer on the series, which she developed alongside Cooper. The Season 3 premiere also marks Cooper’s directing debut and he helmed three of the nine new episodes.
The Emmy nominated series is based on Ms. Pat’s real life story of going from an Atlanta teen mom and former convicted felon to a suburban Indiana mom, has illustrated the family’s ups and downs.
In Season 3, Ms. Pat is opening for one of her comedy heroes on a stand-up tour while still juggling her family life. According to the official announcement, as in its previous seasons, Season 3 will combine real-life issues using humor, leaving viewers wondering “Did she just say that?” and answering “Oh yes, they went there.”
About the upcoming 4th season:
“It’s going to be another great and funny season and we’re so excited,” Williams shared with Deadline. “I don’t want to give anything away but as you know, we’re always challenging ourselves. What I will say is that Season 4 will be better than prior seasons.”
The Ms. Pat Show, co-created alongside fellow EP Jordan E. Cooper, lifts from Williams’ life experiences covered in her memoir Rabbit: The Autobiography of Ms. Pat, which tells the story of a drug dealer and convicted felon turned suburban mom.
