Bravo’s “Real Housewives Of New York” Star Bethenny Frankel is not holding back at all when it comes to getting what she deserves!
In wake of the current WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike, Reality TV stars are planning action of their own.
“RHONY” Star Bethenny Frankel is currently rallying her fellow cast mates and more to join her in a potential strike.
“RHOBH” Star Lisa Rinna and “RHOA” Star Nene Leakes are all for it!
TMZ recently reported that Bethenny and her lawyers have heard from about “80 angry reality stars” (via Page Six) in response to Frankel’s legal threat against Bravo and its parent company NBC, which outlines so-called “horrible treatment” on the set of the shows.
She shared on Instagram:
“The time for talk is over… This is the reality check, the reality reckoning….it’s cool until it’s not. Like many other movements, and like the ocean, things feel calm until the big set of waves comes and you better be able to ride them or get out of the way. Things bubble underneath them surface. People and big business takes advantage and pushes until someone has the courage to push back.
I’ve had a good run on television. I’ve been very successful and I’ve made others successful as well. I’ve made a mark in this industry and superficially continuing to make money in a way that feels fraudulent to me has changed my path.
The forward facing of reality tv is full of equality and inclusivity. The back of the house is in the dinosaur era. This DOES include people in production as well. You are NOT forgotten. Children working long hours with no pay is also unacceptable.
I’ve known many things were wrong along the way. I’ve heard the stories of others as well. Like anything else we often accept what we know is just not correct.
I may have burned bridges in the entertainment space and torched the kingdom khaleesi style, and I am flawed but I know the difference between right and wrong.
I have used my voice and I keep pushing and hopefully I can make a difference that will resonate into other exploited professions and industries as well. I was given a platform for a reason and I intend to use it not only for superficial and entertaining reasons but for something important as well.
Thank you to all the people who have had the courage to reach out and speak. I’m also here for those who want to and aren’t ready. Good luck to those of you who are intoxicated by the shiny objects staying noticeably silent because the temptation of fame and money is too great.
Thanks to the strong women before me who fought against injustices of many kinds… you gave me the confidence to use my voice … xoxo
Here we go…
We can’t wait to see what they do next!
