BET’s “Sistas” & “Zatima” Star Devale Ellis is hands down one of the best actors out right now and there’s no doubt about it!
Finding out where our favorite actors come from is one of the most interesting things ever and Devale recently just gave us a little bit of backstory about his acting career.
Devale starred in “Full Circle: The Feature” and the director shared a throwback on Instagram for it’s 10 year anniversary!

“We found @iamdevale who plays Tommy in #FullCircleTheFeature through our casting director Tiandra Gayle. He did a Fresh Prince monologue where Will breaks down to Uncle Phil about how much he misses his dad. Funny he chose that scene cause the role he was auditioning for, Tommy, was more of a comedic character and he came in all dramatic crying and shit lol. Needless to say we knew he was our Tommy regardless. Clearly we chose right as he’s gone on to become the star of Tyler Perry’s Zatima along with creating his own massive family following with his wife @khadeeniam on social media, pod casts, and touring. Sistas follows a group of single Black females as they navigate their “complicated love life,” careers and friendship through the ups and downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals. The women must navigate this new-age dating scene as they continue to search for love in their 30’s.
