“Vanderpump Rules” Was Almost Canceled Before Big Scandal

Vanderpump rules season 11

Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules” Season 10 was hands down one of the biggest seasons of the show ever and even received Emmy nominations in the end!!

The series can thank the big scandal between cast members Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix and Ariana Raquel for the increase in success.

It was just revealed that Pump Rules was nearly canceled before the scandal happened.

Alex Baskin who is the executive producer of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and its spinoff, Vanderpump Rules recently shared a little information about the show almost getting canceled.

He shared:

“The timing of [Scandoval] happened to have been perfect. It was insane and proof that there can still be a monoculture. The story of Vanderpump is one of survival more than anything. We were coming off a really tough ninth season and we had the cast firings before the season and there was a low energy season during the pandemic. To the network’s credit, they gave us another run at it and we had a resurgence anyway.”

Are you happy the show is still on air? Season 11 is currently filming!

“Vanderpump Rules” is produced by Evolution Media with Alex Baskin, Jen McClure-Metz, Joe Kingsley, Jeremiah Smith, Natalie Neurauter, Lisa Vanderpump, and Ken Todd serving as executive producers.
