Netflix’s “YOU” Season 5 is officially happening and it will be the final season of the iconic drama series!!
There’s already talks about what fans could possibly expect when the season hit our screens next year.
Penn Badgley is returning to play infamous serial killer Joe Goldberg, and the return of Ellie Alves, played by Jenna Ortega isn’t too far off according to the latest “YOU” news.
When Season 4 aired, it was announced that Jenna was suppose to return to the show but scheduling conflicts hurt the idea.
Creators shared:
“We wanted to bring Ellie back [in season 4], and we heard, ‘Oh, Jenna is doing some show,’” Sera Gamble told IndieWire back in February, talking about her popular role in ‘Wednesday.’

Season 4 Plot:
After his previous life went up in flames, Joe Goldberg has fled to Europe to escape his “messy” past, adopt a new identity, and, of course, to pursue true love. But Joe soon finds himself in the strange new role of reluctant detective as he discovers he may not be the only killer in London. Now, his future depends on identifying and stopping whoever’s targeting his new friend group of uber-wealthy socialites.
Showrunner Sera Gamble who brilliantly led the series through four riveting seasons that captivated audiences worldwide is passing the baton as she works on other projects. Gamble will continue to be an Executive Producer on the series. Executive Producers Michael Foley (Headshot / Bio) and Justin W. Lo (Headshot / Bio) will step in as Co-Showrunners.
