BET’s “The Ms Pat Show” Star Patricia Williams is gearing up for a BET+ takeover with a new season of Ms Pat and two brand new shows on the way to the streaming platform!!
In honor of her new deal with BET that was signed last year, Patricia will produce, write and perform in new series and other projects—both scripted and unscripted— across BET linear and streaming. Under that deal, Williams has two new shows that are in development: the animated series Krack Babies and the workplace comedy Hud. Lee Deadline
Krack Babies—referencing children that fall through the cracks of the system—is set in 1980s inner-city Atlanta and based on Williams’ childhood stories.
“Damn – it’s hard to grow up in Atlanta without slipping through the kracks. Krack Babies is an animated tv show focusing on the adventures of four kids determined to survive the inner city of Atlanta. The system may fail them, but love and support from some of the most unlikely characters in the community might just help them make it out.”
Krack Babies is described as “Hey Arnold! for adults but that’s not afraid to get real AF.” The series is executive produced by Williams, Starburns Industries and Reg Tigerman.
Williams’ second project is a half-hour workplace comedy HUD, which stands for House and Urban Development. HUD follows a team of public servants as they navigate the trials and tribulations of working in the government sector of Housing and Urban Development.
Williams executive produces alongside Patrick Walshand Aaron Kaplan; Vincent Bryant serves as supervising producer.
Congratulations! We can’t wait to see the Pat Takeover!
