ABC’s “The Rookie” just finished airing it’s 5th season and fans were beyond excited when they heard that the show will return for a 6th season!!
Fans will have to wait a bit for the new season as the show is on pause due to the Writers Strike!
Television writers have begun to strike as the WGA and AMPTP were unable to reach an agreement by May 2. The writers are making sure their skills are being appreciated with amazing signs that are now flooding the streets outside of studio lots and corporate offices. Some writers opted for referencing important issues like artificial intelligence being used in place of writers’ rooms and residuals from streaming services.
CBS announced their fall schedule and tons of scripted shows were missing including “The Rookie”!
Season 6 of The Rookie won’t premiere until early 2024. It’s currently unknown if this will impact the number of episodes in the season.
