Netflix’s “Heartstopper” Season 2 is one of the most anticipated seasons of a show this year and can you blame the fans? The writing is perfect done, the casting is amazing and did I mention, the show is already an Emmy winner?!

Speaking at the BFI Future Film Festival on Friday (17th February 2023), Oseman said: “So, we’re kind of still in the editing process for season 2. Very exciting getting to see the episodes come together. Yeah, just really happy with how it’s looking.”
Alongside returning cast members Kit Connor and Joe Locke, a great amount of new faces are joining the second season, with Bel Priestly, Ash Self and Thibault De Montalembert all coming on board.
Naomi (Priestly) and Felix (Self) are “new friends” of Elle (Yasmin Finney), while Stephane (Montalembert) is Nick’s (Connor) father.
Heartstopper tells the story of Nick and Charlie, two British teens at an all-boys grammar school. Charlie, a high-strung, openly gay overthinker, and Nick, a cheerful, soft-hearted rugby player, one day are made to sit together. They quickly become friends, and soon Charlie is falling hard for Nick, even though he doesn’t think he has a chance. But love works in surprising ways, and Nick is more interested in Charlie than either of them realized. Heartstopper is about love, friendship, loyalty and mental illness. It encompasses all the small stories of Nick and Charlie’s lives that together make up something larger.
There’s no official premiere date for the season just yet but look forward to the season airing at the last quarter of 2023.
