The show was just renewed for a Season 3!
“Bel Air” premiered in 2022 and was renewed for an early season two so this makes the first official renewal.
Synopsis:
Set in modern-day Los Angeles, Peacock’s successful one-hour drama series Bel-Air imagines the beloved sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a new, dramatic take on Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. As these two worlds collide, Will reckons with the power of second chances while navigating the conflicts, emotions, and biases of a world far different from the only one he’s ever known.
The series is inspired by a viral video created by Morgan Cooper that reimagined the original sitcom as a drama series. Cooper serves as an executive producer on the show.
Carla Banks Waddles serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner. She took over as showrunner going into Season 2. Anthony Sparks, Malcolm Spellman, original series star Will Smith, Terence Carter, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez, Benny Medina, Quincy Jones, Andy & Susan Borowitz, and TJ Brady & Rasheed Newson also executive produce.
