BET’s “Sistas” & “Zatima” Star Devale Ellis is undoubtedly one of the best examples for fathers across social media and we’re huge fans of how much he loves and support his family!!
The family is big on social media and they use their platforms to show fans the growth and the ups and down of life.
Devale recently took to Instagram to let fans know that he now understands the difficulties his father went through now that he’s a father.
He shared;
“The father/son husband/wife mother/son dynamic is a tricky one. My Dad used to let me stay up late to watch movies with him while keeping my Mom at bay. He also taught me to respect my Mom NO MATTER WHAT.
Confusing right? My Dad always worked multiple jobs and his 9-5 at Chase Bank, so I yearned for time with him. A lot of that time of course was after I was supposed to be in bed. As a Dad now I understand the conflict when trying to instill discipline, be a provider and support your spouse’s decisions. It’s still a work in progress but I’m learning how to compromise while keeping the energy light in the house, because Jax should definitely be in bed but I miss my boys as much as they miss me.
Imagine loving your family so much that you want all of them to get what they desire. It’s a great problem to have.”
