“Chicago PD” Producer Brian Friendship With Jesse Lee Soffer Is So Wholesome

Jesse Lee Soffer Chicago PD

NBC’s “Chicago PD” Season 10 is currently airing and the show is missing one thing, Jesse Lee Soffer as Halstead!

Jesse appeared in 189 episodes of “Chicago PD” before his character was written off, with Jay resigning from Intelligence to take an army job in Bolivia. We’re happy his character didn’t end up dying like most characters do. This leaves room open for him to make another appearance if the show is renewed further.

Jesse shared about his exit:

“To create this hour drama week after week has been a labor of love by everyone who touches the show. I will always be proud of my time as Det. Jay Halstead.”

Jesse is currently back but in a different way, he’s directing the show now!

Producer Brian Luce is beyond excited to have Jesse back on set for work and he’s made it aware that they’re like best friends.

Brian shared a photo on Instagram of a large cutout of Jesse:

“Chicago P.D” is a riveting police drama about the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s District 21 who put it all on the line to serve and protect their community. District 21 is made up of two distinctly different groups: the uniformed cops who patrol the beat and go head-to-head with the city’s street crimes and the Intelligence Unit that combats the city’s major offenses – organized crime, drug trafficking, high profile murders and beyond. The vast responsibilities that these jobs entail extend far beyond the walls of the precinct, often taking an emotional toll on personal lives of these men and women.

At the helm of the Intelligence Unit is Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), a man not against crossing legal and ethical lines to ensure the safety and security of the city he loves.
