NBC’s “Chicago PD” Star Jesse Lee Soffer is all smiles back on the set of Season 10!
Jesse is not on set to return to his role as Halstead but he’s having a great time hanging with the cast and directing episodes.
Jesse shared on Instagram:
“Back at it. Just different stuff.”

We’re beyond sad watching Jesse on set but not on the show.
Fans reacted:
“Obviously Jesse is not angry about what has happened with his character or he would not be directing and hanging around the set. Are they leaving the door open for his return? As long as Jay is alive I say yes” – DaiberTerri
“So he leaves his character on the show behind, but still stays on the show’s payroll as director? I don’t get it. What was the point in writing Jay out?” – JoeWhitehead7
“One Chicago should be mentioning that he’s back as a director, not as his character.
Many people are now expecting to see him” – in_the_matrix1
“Not the same without seeing you and your character Halstead in front of the camera. Please bring Jesse back the show has completely changed the format and ratings ate dropping. PD was never last!!!! And now it is” – beachbabeforyou
Do you think Jesse is okay with not returning to the show? Let us know what you think.
From executive producer Wolf and the team behind “Chicago Fire” comes “Chicago P.D.,” a riveting police drama about the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s District 21 who put it all on the line to serve and protect their community. District 21 is made up of two distinctly different groups: the uniformed cops who patrol the beat and go head-to-head with the city’s street crimes and the Intelligence Unit that combats the city’s major offenses – organized crime, drug trafficking, high profile murders and beyond. The vast responsibilities that these jobs entail extend far beyond the walls of the precinct, often taking an emotional toll on personal lives of these men and women.
At the helm of the Intelligence Unit is Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), a man not against crossing legal and ethical lines to ensure the safety and security of the city he loves. It’s not unknown for him to be an ally one minute and the worst enemy the next. Working hand-in-hand with Voight is Detective Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda). More levelheaded and honest than his counterpart, Antonio put his reservations about Voight aside to help the Intelligence Unit track down Chicago’s most dangerous criminals while acting as a role model for the younger officers.
