ABC’s “The Rookie” just lost a very important member to the series!!
Annie Wersching who starred on “The Rookie” for multiple season died on Sunday morning in Los Angeles.
She portrayed Rosalind Dyer a guest character and antagonist on The Rookie. She was convicted in the killings of seven individuals and will likely be charged in the killings of several others. She was being held on a life sentence after a deal with DEA and serving her sentence at the Central California Women’s Facility until she received help from her lawyer to escape in Season 5.
She was 45 years old and also best known for her roles on the television series “Star Trek: Picard,” “24,” “Bosch” and “Timeless,”
Her death was confirmed by her publicist, Craig Schneider. The cause was cancer, Mr. Schneider said in a statement released on Sunday. He noted that Ms. Wersching was diagnosed in 2020 but had continued her acting work including her role on “The Rookie.”
She was first seen in the episode “The Dark Side”.
Rosalind’s final episode, “The Choice”, left questions hanging which were addressed in the subsequent episode of The Rookie: Feds.

He works with Sergeant Wade Grey (Jones), Detective Angela Lopez (Diaz), training officers Nyla Harper (Cox) and Tim Bradford (Winter), fellow rookie Lucy Chen (O’Neil), and the station’s newest rookie, Aaron Thorsen (Valentino).
