“This year’s nominees have conveyed a wide range of authentic stories and diverse experiences that have resonated with many in our community, and we’re proud to recognize their outstanding achievements and performances,” said NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson in a statement announcing the nominees.

The 54th annual award show will broadcast live from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Calif., on Feb. 25, 2023, airing at 8 p.m. ET on BET. This will mark the first in-person ceremony since February 2020.
