The Actor uses his platform to share his ups and down with fatherhood and how he keeps things rolling and never give up.
The latest message from Devale surrounded his son Jax playing on a basketball team.
Devale shared:
“Last year this time Jax started playing basketball. I spent most games screaming and hollering at Jax because I thought his effort was piss poor. @coachjcole7 reminded me that at 10 Jax needed more knowledge and less tough love. We’ve bonded over basketball for the past year. In fact, he only asked to play football to get tougher for basketball. To say that I’m proud of the progress he’s made would be an understatement.
Dude has worked his tail off with @coachjcole7 all year and we are just getting started. The funny part about this process is that I had to realize when my words were more of a detriment to Jax than a benefit, and fall back in order for Jax to grow at a rate high enough to meet the expectations HE set for himself. I just love this kid.
