Netflix’s “The Circle” Season 5 is now streaming the first 4 episodes of the season and fans are already pressed with some of the friendships that’s being formed!
Team Melanin is now being targeted on the show for forming a bond together. Black cast members that team up to win usually gets targeted while White players who’s been teaming up since the beginning of the time are praised consistently.
The first Deaf contestant of “The Circle” Raven isn’t having it and is speaking out.
She shared on Twitter:
“Why is it that in these game shows that are majority white ,an all white alliance is formed, but when alliances like #thecookout and #teammelanin form, it’s considered “racist”, Please #bb23 #TheCircleNetflix”

“The BEST PART is that any argument against #teammelanin, for example, is automatically invalid bc they were Influencers before – and aside from – the alliance factoring into that. They got top influencers twice bc they’re killin the game, period.” – Antwonito

“exactly!! and part of the reason alliances like that even exist is because of the all white alliances that are formed every single season of those shows. people like to ignore that just to pretend white people are oppressed though.” – forethenight

In our opinion, all white alliance were always being formed and they would purposely leave out POC. They didn’t name the alliance something triggering but it was very subtle in a way the world moves today.
Black alliances are formed because they’re 9/10 shut out of other alliances so we agree with Raven.
