Netflix’s “Heartstopper” has one of the most supportive cast right now and when the entertainment world gets crazy, they can always count on each other!
Kit Connor recently came out as bisexual after he was questioned on social media about his sexuality and some fans even went as far and said he was QueerBaiting.
Colman, who plays his mother on Heartstopper shared at the L.A. premiere of “Empire of Light” that she is “so proud” of Kit Connor.
She shared:
“I am so proud of him, but I am not proud of how people bullied him,” Colman told Variety. “I think people should be allowed to have their own journey.”
“But I’m incredibly proud of him as a young man to deal with all of that and be in the spotlight. It’s unfair,” she continued. “But he’s amazing. He’s a very beautiful human being.”

Heartstopper tells the story of Nick and Charlie, two British teens at an all-boys grammar school.
