Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City is bringing the real life drama with Hosuewife Jen!
Jen Shah was indicted for her alleged role in a long-running telemarketing scheme.
The indictment happened while she was filming season 2 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
Bravo viewers met Shah during season 1 of RHOSLC, which filmed in 2019 and aired in 2020. She became a polarizing character on the franchise, with fans questioning her job and need for several assistants.
Now fast forward to 2022 and she’s facing 50 years in prison!
Jennifer Shah and Stuart Smith, who is portrayed as Shah’s ‘first assistant,’ allegedly generated and sold ‘lead lists’ of innocent individuals for other members of their scheme to repeatedly scam,” Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a press release.
Jen pleaded guilty at a surprise hearing after originally denying claims she committed wire fraud in connection with a telemarking scheme.
“We used interstate telephones and emails. I knew many of the purchasers were over the age of 55. I am so sorry,” the reality star said in court,according to Matthew Russell Lee of Inner City Press.
