Working on When Calls The Heart looks like it has to be one of the most fun jobs in the business and that’s not surprising because the cast looks to be very fun when sharing their behind the scenes videos!
The show is currently filming Season 10 and when it comes to filming anything, the projects will always need extras to fill spots.
One extra is sharing her experience on set and it’s so sweet!
Jill Jo shared on Instagram:
“The last few days have been unreal. I was given the gift of time in Vancouver to be on the set of one of my favorite tv shows, along with my sister Kendra. I was able to be an extra in an episode, I even had my own trailer, and got to meet some of the cast! The entire cast and crew was unbelievably kind and went out of their way to chat with me and show me around. You hear some awful stories of being on a set for tv shows, but not this one. When Calls the Heart is something special and am so fortunate to have been a little part of it. ❤️#hearties #wcthseason10”

She also shared:
“So while I was on set, I brought my photo book from when I met the cast three years ago with me. I was able to ask a few of them to sign it while on set. Well on @chrismcnally’s page there was not room for him to sign, so he signed on @paulgreeneofficial’s page. But notice what else he did? Zoom in 😜 #whencallstheheart#hearties”

She ended up getting her own dressing room as an extra, how cool is that?! Amazing! We can’t wait to see the season.
When Calls the Heart stars Erin Krakow, Jack Wagner, Kevin McGarry, Chris McNally, Andrea Brooks, Kavan Smith, Pascale Hutton, Ben Rosenbaum, Johannah Newmarch, Martin Cummins, Kayla Wallace, Viv Leacock, Natasha Burnett, Vienna Leacock, Elias Leacock, Hrothgar Mathews, Loretta Walsh, and Amanda Wong. Inspired by the Janette Oke novel, the TV series follows Elizabeth Thatcher (Krakow), a young teacher from a high society background. She’s assigned to teach in a coal country classroom and it’s a life-changing experience. Now a widow and single mother, Elizabeth faces new challenges but enters into a new relationship with mysterious gambler Lucas Bouchard (McNally). In season nine, Hope Valley is in a state of growth, with the foundry’s progress and the evolution of key relationships. The Mayoral race has the town buzzing with a few members of the town running against one another. Elizabeth and Lucas focus on their relationship beyond courtship, and as she gets to know Lucas better, she learns about his past which gives Elizabeth pause about their future.
