Season 2 of Netflix’s hit series “Heartstopper” is going to be one of the biggest seasons yet according to the cast and crew!!
The second season of the show will continue to follow Nick and Charlie’s relationship. Alice Oseman, the show’s creator, also told Digital Spy some things she hopes to explore in the new season.
“[I] definitely want to be bringing in the themes of mental health, because that’s something that’s really important in the books,” she said. “The challenge of writing Heartstopper is exploring those darker issues while keeping the tone so optimistic and hopeful. That has been, like, the struggle of writing it for me the whole way through.”

Production has begun on the Netflix series’ second season, and four new additions have been made to the cast. Leila Khan, Jack Barton, Bradley Riches, and Nima Taleghani are joining Kit Connor, Joe Locke, Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Sebastian Croft, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, Jenny Walser, and Cormac Hyde-Corrin on the romantic comedy series. Based on the graphic novels by Alice Oseman, the show follows the lives of two gay teenagers and their friends.
