As fans dread the final episode of Jesse Lee Soffer’s character Halstead, the crew is letting it be known that the episode will be amazing and fans won’t be disappointed by his ending.

Sigan has said that the tension we saw with Voight, Upton, and Jay will “play out at the front end” of Season 10.

She didn’t share anything specific about how Jay will be written out, but stated

“it’s going to make sense to the fans when they see the episode that is his exit. We wanted it to be really a showcase for Halstead and who he is and what Jesse has meant to this show.”

She called Soffer’s performance in the episode “one of his best.”

We know the episode is going to be beyond sad not only for the fans but for the cast and crew. Jesse is an original so to be involved in a a show for 10 seasons and just up and leave the show is one of the toughest decisions for everyone.
