“When Calls The Heart” Season 10 is now filming and fans are so excited to see the upcoming m season!!
Lori Loughlin has been absent from When Calls the Heart since 2019, when her part in the college admissions scandal got her fired from the show and a prison sentence.
In 2021, she made her return reprising her character in the spin-off When Hope Calls, leading to increased speculation about her return to the original show.
At the time, a Hallmark spokesperson replied, “Hallmark Channel has not cast Lori Loughlin in any current projects, including When Calls the Heart, nor do we have any plans to cast her in the future. She was cast by GAC Family, a wholly separate cable network not affiliated with Hallmark Channel or Crown Media Family Networks.”
Fast forward to 2022 and Hallmark announced in a Facebook post that the first three Garage Sale Mystery films starring Lori would be available for viewing on its streaming service.
The Wrap writer shared:
“Interesting that the Hallmark cable channels made a very big to-do of disappearing all their Lori Loughlin content when the scandal went down, but now they’re subtly reintroducing the Garage Sale Mysteries to their Hallmark Movies Now streaming service with minimal fanfare.”
“I wasn’t attached to any of her franchises (GSM, When Calls the Heart), and I didn’t think that her crime merited the removal of her content, I’m just fascinated how they’re testing the water for reinstating her shows/movies, whether or not they bring her back into the fold,” he added
Years ago “When Calls the Heart” co-creator Brian Bird shared that he tried to get Loughlin back on When Calls The Heart, but Crown Media felt like it wasn’t a good time.
Since Hallmark seems to be promoting her projects again maybe we could see her return soon!
