Tom Selleck didn’t always know that Blue Bloods was going to be as successful as it is today and we think that’s because that’s how he goes into all of his projects!
It’s very rare for a series to get as many seasons as “Blue Bloods” has and that rarity makes the cast and crew feel just as special. The series originally premiered Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, and has always maintained its #1 position on Fridays at 10:00 PM becoming one of CBS’s biggest series ever!
The “Blue Bloods” Star dished with TVINSIDER on his favorite episode of the series.
He shared:
“The one that will always be my favorite is “The Job,” [Season 2, Episode 12] in which you found out that Frank was in the World Trade Center’s North Tower on 9/11. It was quite stirring because 9/11 was still fresh in people’s minds. It was hard for me to be strong as an actor, not to break down because Frank is tougher than that. My friend F. Murray Abraham played a [psychologist, Leon Goodwin] but Frank doesn’t like psychologists. The episode winds up dealing with the people who got sick from being there at the time. We were the first show allowed to show the Trade Center Memorial, right after it was finished. It was written by Brian Burns, who wrote the 250th episode.”
If you’re not familiar with the episode, the episode aired on February 3rd, 2012.
Premise:
“On the drive home from a family meal with Linda and the children, Danny’s car hits a man who had run into the road in front of him. As Danny seeks to help the victim, shots are fired out of nowhere, and Linda feels that, compared to the NYPD, she’s constantly an afterthought.”
The series will return on October 7th at 10 p.m. ET Friday nights in Fall 2022.
