In December is 2021, BET+ and Tyler Perry Studios announced the greenlight of the new BET+ original drama “Tyler Perry’s Zatima,” a spin-off from the #1 cable scripted series among Black viewers, “Tyler Perry’s Sistas.”!!
The 10-episode one-hour series follows popular characters ‘Zac,’ played by Devale Ellis and ‘Fatima,’ played Crystal Renee Hayslett, as they navigate the ups and downs of their relationship.
While there’s always been talks for the series to premiere on BET+ in 2021, a recent article came out that we will not see the show until 2023.
This news left us kind of sad but we think there’s hope for an earlier premiere date for “Zatima” thanks to an alleged comment by one of the leads of the show.

It looks like Zatima Season 2 is filming before even officially being announced? Or is the September a hint that Season 2 will begin filming in September?
There’s a lot of ways fans can take that comment. We would assume that a trailer would be out by now if the show was premiering in September so September just doesn’t seem like the month in my opinion.
The show can still hit our screens by the end of 2022. Thoughts?
