BET’s “Sistas” & “Zatima” Star Devale Ellis is excited about spending quality time with his children this Summer and we know he’s going to keep the fans updated with fun videos!
Devale recently shared a video hanging out with his kids and it looks like they’re training.
He shared:
“From AAU basketball straight to summer workouts for football season. The best part is never the results, it’s being able to show them how far they’ve come from day 1. I’m already proud when they come get me and ask me to show them a thing or two. First it means they value my perspective and secondly it means that I’ve done an okay job “so far” of teaching lessons without taking away their love of the game.
During this fatherhood journey I’ve even had to amend some of the words I’ve lived by. For example, our family motto used to be “PRACTICE ISNT PUNISHMENT… ITS THE PURSUIT OF PERFECTION!” After hours of pleading with my sons to stop “chasing perfection” and feeling disappointment when the unattainable isn’t reached— I’ve changed the motto to “PRACTICE ISNT PUNISHMENT… ITS THE PURSUIT OF PROGRESS!” Progress is always attainable when pursued with an unyielding work ethic and discipline.”

Catch Devale is the 6th season of “Sistas” which is now airing on BET.
Sistas follows a group of single Black females as they navigate their “complicated love life,” careers and friendship through the ups and downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals. The women must navigate this new-age dating scene as they continue to search for love in their 30’s.
