The CW’s “Superman & Lois” Season 3 is finally here and we’re so excited to see what the cast and crew came up with for new season!!
Episode 1 will be titled “Closer” and airs March 15th.
Plot;
“An undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever; John Henry is haunted by his doppelgänger’s past; Sarah explores what the future holds for her and Jordan; General Samuel Lane reclaims his post.”
Showrunners Todd Helbing and Brent Fletcher spoke with EW to let fans know the main goal for the new season.
Todd shared:
“Brett and I, at the end of last season, just wanted to sleep. And we got to, which was nice. [Laughs] But there are a couple things — we really started talking about the Lois story, and we really wanted to get into the Lois and Clark relationship a lot more. COVID was such a beast up here [while filming in Vancouver] and it just prevented us from doing those things last season; we shut down multiple times in season 2. We really wanted to dive into this emotional journey with Lois and see how it trickled down to everybody else, not just in the Kent family, but in Smallville. And we also wanted to go down the Bruno Manheim story and have that influence all the other storylines.”
Brett shared:
“And then also finding new relationships to uncover. With Natalie, she’s done the kid scientist thing, and we wanted to feel what her life as a teenager was like. We wanted to see what Jordan and Sarah looked like apart and what that path looked like for both of them. We wanted to see what Jonathan, who has been adrift for so much of last year, how he tries to find his way again.”
We can’t wait to see this emotional journey the two are talking about! It’s long overdue.

Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Jordan Elsass, Alexander Garfin, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Wolé Parks, Adam Rayner. Dylan Walsh, and Emmanuelle Chriqui. In the story, Superman aka Clark Kent (Hoechlin) and his award-winning journalist wife, Lois Lane (Tulloch), have gotten married and are now working parents, raising two teen boys. In addition to the usual trials and tribulations of being parents, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with their sons, Jonathan (Elsass) and Jordan (Garfin), who could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Clark’s hometown of Smallville to handle some Kent family business, the family is reacquainted with Lana Lang (Chriqui), Clark’s first love, her Fire Chief husband, Kyle Cushing (Valdez), and their rebellious daughter, Sarah (Navarrette). There’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane (Walsh), looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice. Meanwhile, the Kents’ lives are upended when both a mysterious stranger (Parks) and impassioned self-made mogul Morgan Edge (Rayner) enter their lives.
