“Survivor” Host Jeff Probst Disses 43 & Praises Season 44

Survivor Jeff Probst season 44

CBS’s “Survivor” Season 44 is finally here and host Jeff Probst is hoping that the season will be received better than Season 43!

Season 44 premieres March 1st!

Jeff recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly and basically insinuated that he wasn’t that big of a fan of Season 43.

“Historically, holding idols until the end of the game is more uncommon than common and totally dependent on the overall gameplay. I’ll put it on the record that I think Survivor 43 was an anomaly. As you’ll see straight away, Survivor 44 is going to be a fun season with a group of players who understand you cannot play to not lose, you have to play to win.”

“If that means using an idol or Shot in the Dark earlier than you thought, then that is what you must do. The key to the game is you have to survive the vote. If you can do that, then anything can happen when you return to camp.”

He also talked about his love for Season 44 cast.

“I loved this group from the opening moments. I can’t give you a specific answer as to why they were so electric, but I do think you’ll feel it straight out of the game.”

Ouch, we wonder how Season 43 cast feels about these comments.

A cast member from the show responded in a jokingly manner but we know he’s crying inside:

We hope fans enjoy Season 44!

Stranded on the beautiful islands of Fiji, these motivated new players must form a society and adapt to their physical and social surroundings, forcing them to decide what is more dangerous: the environment or navigating the complex social game and placing trust in their tribemates. The participants will be divided into three tribes of six and face a faster, more dangerous season from the moment they step on the beach. The moral dilemmas and mysterious new layers of this complex game will push even the strongest competitors to their limits, and the mental and physical challenges require players to constantly adjust their strategies in order to make it another day.

The individuals competing on season 44 are fans from diverse backgrounds who bring fresh perspectives to this new era of the game, with the same ultimate goal: to outwit, outplay and outlast. And in the end, only one will remain to claim the title of Sole Survivor and win the $1 million prize.
